Ants in the Hummingbird feeder

      In time an ant colony will find your Hummingbird feeder, and try as you may with killers and sticky stuff on the pole or chain they'll keep coming, and you'll think there's nothing more you can do, so you live with it.
     
      Well, sitting at breakfast and watching this column of ants ascending and descending the Sheppard’s hook that holds our feeder, my fertile mind went back to the Pixar kid’s movie "Bug's Life"; below is a scene that will explain my new approach to this dilemma.




     Solution: Move the pole over a couple feet...
