From now
until the birds chirp out a warmer song I will serenade your eyes with sights
of what’s to come. God’s effortless handiwork so to speak, a small sampling of
His immense, unfathomable creativity.
As you
see and read about these, keep in mind that what I will show you are the “working
engines” that keep us alive, without them life as we know would not exist.
Man
tries to conceal his modern day conveniences behind walls of concrete or steel;
he puts them deep underground or far out to sea. Sometimes he just can’t, so
the wires go up and down our street, or we just have to live with the garbage
dump until it’s full.
But God
has concealed the machines that produce the very air we breathe in forests we
love to hike through, in the shrubs that accent our homes, and the flowers that
make us smile. Life giving oxygen is also emanating from the stuff that chokes out
our lawns, and makes us sweat while evicting those unwanted moochers.
Nobody
on this Earth could hide something this big, and this important,
like our Father can. To disguise it in
such beauty is beyond our comprehension. What is written in Romans is true:
“ For since the creation of the world God's invisible
qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
