To hurry up
the rotting process will make nitrogen available when your veggies start
growing. During the decomposing of any green material, be it manure, leaves, or
vegetable waste, the nitrogen is locked up and unattainable to the surrounding
live plants and seeds. Once the “composting” is done, or close to being done,
the nitrogen is freed up.
