Niagara, nothing grows in the gorge

.

Do you have that place where every shrub, tree or plant just never seems to make it? Do they try and sneak away while you are digging their grav……. hole for planting? Tell me; is this area in line with the downspout, or under the drip line of the roof eve?

Please keep in mind that no plant likes to be under a drip situation, in fact it is a death sentence. New plants can take up residence under an eve’s drip line provided the eve trough will be going up in a year or less.

A good rule of thumb is to keep them at least a foot away from falling water; anything closer and you’ll be accused of water boarding your landscaping.
